How you will make history here... The Safety Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and conducting safety training programs. Also responsible for assisting with the Safety Management System and procedures related to federal and state OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulatory agencies. Works with various facility personnel to schedule and conduct training in order to promote continuous improvement in safety performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintains regulatory and company-required records and reports. In the absence of an EHS Safety Manager, provides for the completion of all essential safety functions as necessary. Travel Required: 10-15% Work Environment: Exposed to heat/cold conditions consistent with snack food manufacturing conditions as well as an office atmosphere. Exposed to various sound levels up to 90db in the manufacturing environment and usually quiet in the office environment. Exposed to dust and oil consistent with a snack food manufacturing environment. Primarily day shift but occasionally requires training/meeting time on off shifts. Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $51,500-$74,100Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
