About the role:

Global Sales, Strategy & Operations is a division within Gartner tasked with increasing the 7,000+ sales force productivity by partnering with stakeholders across the business to design and implement innovative solutions that meet client retention and growth goals and deliver strong returns on resource investment. The team is focused on driving analytical, technology, and process improvement solutions to some of the company's most pressing challenges.

The Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team is at the center of Gartner's corporate strategy. The group serves as the internal consulting team for Sales globally, leading growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, and market opportunity assessment within Global Sales Strategy & Operations.

What you will do:

  • Perform high-quality quantitative and qualitative analytics to inform territory strategy and improve sales productivity, asking and answering pressing questions for Sales territories

  • Identify opportunities for sales process improvements and develop innovative solutions that drive efficiency and growth. Conduct research and analyses to drive fact-based decision making that improves overall performance and economics

  • Design and roll out pilots to validate feasibility

  • Understand the needs of the individual contributor, the senior leader, and regional differences when assessing approaches for execution/implementation across Sales

  • Own execution of key cross-functional initiatives working closely with cross-functional teams - design solutions, manage timelines, partner on key decisions and implementation

What you will need:

  • 7+ years of work experience in any of the following roles: Consulting, Analytics, Sales Operations, Product Development space

  • Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus: Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. MBA preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative problem-solving experience, including turning quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations and business strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to own, manage and complete complex, multi-functional projects

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Power BI a plus

  • Effective presentation of information and the ability to influence required outcomes

  • High achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook when facing complex business problems

  • Motivated performer with demonstrated ability to influence others to action and lead, including beyond own business unit. Comfortable leading through change and ambiguity

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented, but capable of understanding broader strategy

  • Practical, intuitive problem solver driven by intellectual curiosity to develop creative solutions to tackle sales problems

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 130,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
