Hospital Patient Access Representative 100% On-Site - Washington, DC $20-23/hr based on experience Evening/Overnight Shifts Highlights: * Opportunity to work with a large DC area hospital system * Contract to Potential Hire * Benefits: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401K, Weekly Pay Job Description: * The Patient Access Representative will work in a busy Emergency Department within the hospital's patient access/admissions team. * Will sit at the front desk in the Emergency Department, collecting payments, verifying insurance, and collecting patient information. * Will verify the reason for the patient's visit, enter in their information into the EMR, and provide customer service prior to them seeing a clinician. * Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and have attention to detail. * Candidates MUST be available to work occasional weekends and holidays as the ED is a 24/7 operation. Schedule: Openings for both evening and overnight shifts (PRN - up to 30-40+ hours per week) * Evenings: 3 PM - 11:30 PM * Overnights: 11 PM - 7:30 AM * Training will be for the first few weeks and will take place during the day shift. * occasional weekends and holidays required Additional Skills & Qualifications: * High School Diploma or Equivalent * 1+ years of experience with healthcare, understanding medical terminology, patient registration, and insurance verification About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
