Primary Responsibilities:



  • Transport patients to and from the operating room
  • Prepare operating rooms by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces Assist in positioning patients on the operating table
  • Help to maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols Set up surgical instruments and equipment before procedures
  • Assist surgical staff during operations as needed
  • Ensure proper disposal of medical waste
  • Restock supplies in operating rooms Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of surgical areas
  • Provide support during patient transfers within the facility.
  • All other duties as needed to support patient care

Required Qualifications:



  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Experience with medical equipment handling and sterilization
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions Empathy and patience when interacting with patients
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and infection control protocols
  • Proven customer service experience and solid computer skills
  • Proven ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Epic experience
  • Medical office experience
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment



New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $23.94 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
