Position Title: CNC Operator

Wage: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 5:00pm-5:30am

QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Operator position available at a company in Burlington, WI. This is a 2nd and 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operating, inspecting, cleaning and maintaining CNC machines and fixturing

- Reading and understanding specifications of blueprints, mechanical drawings and other technical documents.

- Complying with all safety guidelines and protocols

- Able to write G-code commands that enable the machines to perform the correct functions

- Use proper handling techniques to load / unload material

- Machine start up, setup and shutdown procedures

- Strictly follow manufacturers' guidelines for operating machinery.

- Set up equipment using proper procedures.

- Inspecting finished products, measuring and comparing them to the quality requirements and tolerances using specialized measuring tools and equipment

CNC Operator Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

- 5 years' experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator w/ Fanuc Control.

- Ability to translate/understand mechanical documents and engineering drawings.

- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.

- Experience with milling machine operations and tooling. For example, 42" work envelop or larger.

- Experience with mill tooling and part probes.

- Good computer and mathematical skills.

- Analytical skills

- CNC operators use analytical skills to read and understand part drawings, blueprints, models and other technical specifications related to their craft.

- Math and software skills.

- CNC operators use their knowledge of math skills to measure dimensions, set parameters in the software and check part tolerances/quality control.

- Engineering skills.

- Operators need to develop a deep working understanding of how the machinery operates.

- Problem-solving.

- CNC operators frequently face problems with design drawings, quality issues and problems with tools and other materials that require deduction skills and patience to rectify.

- Ability to train and improve the skills of new and existing machine operators.
