Rehab Tech - Cardiac Rehab - PRN

The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Technician provides patient supervision and treatment as directed by discipline-specific and interdisciplinary treatment plans. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

• Bachelors degree in one or more of the following areas: Exercise Physiology, Health and Phys Education, Fitness Management
• Certification through American College of Sports Medicine preferred
• 6 months experience working with clients prescribing exercise programs
• Experience working with Cardiac or pulmonary patients preferred
• Stress testing experience is preferred
• CPR Certification
• ECG interpretation experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English For Southwest Medical Center Cardiac Rehab only:
• If no Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology, Health and Phys Education, or Fitness Management at time of hire, must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of a Cardiac Rehab specific internship will be accepted in lieu of the 6 months of experience working with clients prescribing exercise programs.
