Job Description:
Superintendent needed to support construction, remediation, and demolition projects at our Los Alamos, NM Office. Position will support DOE, USACE, AFCEC, Navy, and various commercial/industrial clients. This position will be responsible for client relations, labor relations, cost control, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, technical/contractual compliance, QA/QC, safety, etc.; provide input into project plans on assigned projects; coordinate and monitor project performance in accordance with approved work plans, budgets and schedules; and ensure that required health and safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. This position will also be required to support estimating on assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum 5 years managing construction, remediation, and demolition. Proven experience managing projects $5 million +

Technical Leadership

Demonstrated experience and skill with leadership. Organize, direct and control a team in a unionized and nonunion labor environment.

Technical Excellence

Moderate knowledge of and experience with construction management including systems engineering design, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control. Good understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret various physical, electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

Personal Leadership

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong and effective customer engagement. Demonstrated experience interfacing with project, and line management to develop clear and executable action plans to address issues or needs. Able to provide personal leadership, direction and technical advice regarding health, safety and environmental compliance. Demonstrated skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining action to perform tasks.

Communication

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking job activities including the coordination of materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers. Ability to promote an open communication environment to develop mutual trust and teamwork.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working under DOE, USACE, USAF, and/or Navy contracts.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training desired
  • Radiological experience (preferred).

Other responsibilities include:
Responsible for the completion and financial outcome of construction projects. Directs and supervises work of project foremen and craft personnel and works to establish operational priorities and maintaining satisfactory relationships with clients, managers, engineers, office staff and all others on the project team.

Additional Requirements:
* CTI is a Drug-Free Workplace - Must pass pre-hire drug screen.
* Must possess valid driver's license.
* Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
