Key Position Details:

Pre-employment Drug Screen: This role requires that all external and internal applicants successfully pass a drug test before beginning work. A positive test result and/or refusal to submit to testing will result in disqualification of further employment consideration.

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day/evening shifts
  • Occasional weekends

Job Description:

Works as a member of the pharmacy team to deliver excellent customer service. As a primary point of face-to-face contact at the register, the assistant provides timely service, maintains the over-the-counter section and supports non-clinical, non-technician pharmacy operations.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service.
    • Greet customers.
    • Accurately accept payment, process credit card information and make change.
    • Assists customers with questions.
  • Performs inventory.
    • Performs daily ordering.
    • Performs inventory management.
    • Uses wholesaler return programs and reverse distribution processes.
  • Provides operational support.
    • Maintains over-the-counter planograms.
    • Supports non-technician related workflow duties.
    • Performs daily cash control routines where needed.
    • Ensures pharmacy environment is clean and free of clutter, safe, and presents a professional atmosphere.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years of Customer Service experience

Physical Demands

  • Light Work:
  • Lifting weight Up to 20 lbs. occasionally, Up to 10 lbs. frequently
