State Tax Manager

As a Tax Analyst at ABB, you will have the opportunity to execute back office and other administrative activities within the Tax function, in line with defined strategies, policies, and procedures. Each day, you will provide support for various projects and initiatives, including project risk reviews, contract structures, etc. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and preparing supporting documentation (e.g., tax transfer pricing documentation, support for tax returns, etc.).
This role will work a hybrid schedule (#LI-Hybrid) out of the Cary, NC office.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting in the implementation of relevant standards, processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of corporate tax matters in your area of responsibility.
- Assisting in all tax accounting and reporting activities within the scope of your tax practice/area.
- Providing support during tax audits and any other requests from tax authorities.
- Performing Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) processes in the respective areas of responsibility.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax, or related required.
• Master's degree in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 0-2 years' experience in an income tax environment.
• SAP experience preferred, but not required.
• Advanced Excel ability preferred.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
