    Who You Are...

    As Senior Systems Engineer, you are responsible for the deployment, configuration, and administration of all network and security-related software and hardware, focusing on physical infrastructure at branches and during acquisitions. This role manages network migrations and acquisition-related networks while collaborating with the Director of IT on the overall design and security of the Limbach network. The incumbent also works with the VCISO and Security Operations Center to ensure the network remains secure. Additionally, they conduct network-based risk assessments to audit security, design solutions to support network infrastructure, and maintain the IT integration playbook to ensure seamless integration during acquisitions.

    Some examples of the work you might do includes:



    • Primary role will be to assess and migrate all acquisitions into the Limbach Network and Azure cloud.
    • Provides Azure platform support, including monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting of Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networks, and databases.
    • Assists in the administration and maintenance of on-premise systems and ensures integration with cloud environments of Acquisitions.
    • Participates in the planning and execution of Azure-based projects, including migrations, upgrades, Intune packages and new service deployments.
    • Provides Architectural design for Limbach enterprise infrastructure.
    • Utilizes records of security incidents to produce periodic security reporting for key stakeholders.
    • Monitors WAN, LAN, organizational security, and server architecture.
    • Provides after hours/weekend support as an escalation point as needed.
    • Performs regular vulnerability testing for related systems of the Company.
    • Assists with the development of new enterprise-wide security policies and technologies.
    • Ensures proper alerting for on-site networking peripherals is in place.
    • Formulates bespoke virus detection systems for the organization.
    • Works closely with the company's CIO and Director of IT to design infrastructure and security best practices to meet the company's security posture.
    • Supports all company & vendor supplied Enterprise class data center network equipment.
    • Demonstrates solid knowledge of IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP, Switching topologies, Wireless (802.ln, a, g, ac),VoIP, UEP, IPSec, TCP/IP, and HTTPS VPNs (IPsec, SSL and others), Ethernet, Carrier Ethernet, and SD Wan for all branch locations across the Company.
    • Provides Level 3 support of the on-site network environment, including switches, and monitors existing network capacity and identifies areas that need to be increased.
    • Researches and stays current on critical concepts such as APTS, social engineering, phishing, advanced authentication, and network access controllers.


    What You Need...



    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field.
    • 5+ years of work experience in incident detection, incident response, and forensics.
    • Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, Google Workspace, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
    • Ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical ability.
    • Advanced level awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
    • Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
    • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Experience with VMWare, Sentinel One, and KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training.
    • Cisco Network Certifications (CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, or CCNP Security).
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Microsoft Certification

    Work Environment:



    • This position operates primarily in an office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
    • The Company's Remote Work Policy is applicable to this position.

    • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform the repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
