Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Welder in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:



  • Ability to work from process sheets, procedures, standards, route cards, CETL, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Receive and maintain identity of released components. Receives, stores, and maintains identity/traceability of weld and weld wire.
  • Devise and set up tooling and fixtures as needed to result in an acceptable product by hand or with material handling equipment.
  • Complies with all plant work rules, regulations and specific instructions.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area and assists in performing maintenance of work area.
  • Ensures proper functioning of equipment and maintains all tooling and equipment in accordance with standard shop practices.
  • As directed, performs shop fabrication tasks and welding processes.
  • Performs maintenance/repair related activities at nuclear sites.
  • Properly handles hazardous materials.
  • May perform other duties as required.
  • Performs rigging and material handling.
  • During lull periods of production, may be directed by management to support other business units and may include travel to nuclear sites.
  • To play an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and comply with all applicable safety and health rules).
  • Read and understand Drawings, proficiency in MIG,TIG, Stick and flux-core welding. Aluminum welding.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $24.00 - $30.77 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
