Overview

VTG is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to provide technical, program management, and analytical support to PEO IWS 80 Small Surface Combatants Integrated Combat Systems / Unmanned Surface Vessel Integrated Combat Systems (USV ICS) Office. This technical and program management support covers the development and modernization of Systems Engineering, Ship Integration & Test support. This position will be located in Washington, DC.


What will you do?

  • Provide technical and program management support to the IWS 80 Major Program Manager (MPM), Deputy MPM (DMPM), and Primary Assistant Program Managers (PAPMs)
  • Assist with research and analysis of program requirements, procedures, performance, schedule, and risks
  • Assist with development and execution of systems engineering trade studies, performance metrics, systems requirements, mission analysis, CONOPS, and risk management plans
  • Develop and review briefing materials, technical manuals and publications, and process documentation
  • Represent PEO IWS 80 interests at meetings. Prepare technical presentations on combat system issues, risks, and alternative solutions
  • Assist in providing strategic planning, acquisition planning, contracts management, and financial management inputs
  • Prepare summary reports to keep IWS 80 leadership informed of issues and progress on actions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Program PAPMs, APMs and to defend analytical results verbally and in writing

Do you have what it takes?

  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or other technical discipline
  • Understanding of weapons and/or automated information systems, including experience supporting systems engineering technical reviews and the DoD acquisition process
  • 20+ years of NAVSEA combat system experience
  • Demonstrated ability supporting diverse programmatic and technical tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to think analytically, creatively, and critically

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $80,000-$115,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range
