Overview

TRC is seeking a highly motivated Civil / Environmental Professional Engineer (PE) for our growing infrastructure Construction and Facilities Group located in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to work in the field with other engineers, project managers, and technical staff. This candidate will assist with planning, designing, construction and operation of civil engineering and infrastructure projects - specifically including municipal water & wastewater systems. Other project types may include site development, drainage, and stormwater management facilities; industrial facilities; renewable energy systems; transportation infrastructure systems including roadways, railroads and airports.


Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and other Project Engineers in the production of project plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Support Project Managers and other Project Engineers with construction management tasks such as material submittal reviews and coordination with Contractors.
  • Participation in all aspects of project delivery including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections; assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for infrastructure projects.
  • Decipher civil site backgrounds, work with nested External Reference Files (Xrefs), adhere to company drafting standards, and create design details from field sketches and manufacturers datasheets.
  • Efficiently produce quality outputs while meeting budget and project delivery schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Other project delivery tasks and responsibilities as required.

Initial Project Assignment

  • Onsite support for on-going water & wastewater system operations and construction projects in the south Chandler-area, including construction management, field documentation, systems operations, and reporting.
  • Construction field office support for engineering and water/wastewater system operations staff.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and report on construction management activities during team meetings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license and registration
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and 4-8 years of related experience.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable.
  • Physically able to perform work in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCEES Registration preferable
  • Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents (including AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, and GIS software products).

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $107,000.00 - USD $144,622.00 /Yr.
