WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The American Red Cross Blue Sky finance team is seeking a Finance Manager to coordinate and supervise staff responsible for preparing information affecting financial plans and/or financial analysis for the Community Adaptation Program, Long Term Recovery, DRO Case Sampling and Business Support Intelligence BSI. May establish and coordinate applicable financial systems and procedures for financial reporting to program's leadership.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  • Analyze financial data related to LTR operations, CAP & BSI business performance, opportunities, investments, due diligence etc.
  • Supervise financial analysis projects, forecasting, and due diligence process that allows sound controls and mitigation factors in decision making.
  • Manage volunteers responsible for DRO Case Sampling. This includes ensuring the program has enough volunteers and being up to date with changes in DCS casework and compliance updates.
  • Ensure that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable governmental regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Supervise employees engaged in the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements supported by the General Ledger, Payables, and other relevant reports.
  • Responsible for managing budgets, maintaining BVAs for program and supporting leadership with discretionary, compensation and other necessary reports.

Scope

Direct daily operations of work unit including LTR, CAP, DRO Case Sampling and BSI

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA may be preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in Finance Position or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Skills & Abilities: Ability to develop project plans and reports. Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration, facilitation, planning, problem solving, leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in word-processing, Microsoft suite, spreadsheet applications, and database applications. PowerBi a plus.
  • Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.

*Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

COMPENSATION RANGE AND BENEFITS FOR YOU:

The salary range for this position is $92,880.00 to $113,520.00

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
