This position is responsible for managing Accounts in the Beverage Industry as part of the Ingredients Platform of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances). The selected candidate will be responsible for executing the business strategy, providing a high level of service, and driving new opportunities by leveraging our industry leading technology and innovation. An Account Manager is expected to collaborate with all internal departments within IFF to help Business Units and the customer achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sell the Ingredients portfolio with an emphasis on Hydrocolloids, Protein, Emulsifiers, and Stabilizers.
  • Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for the Ingredients Platform.
  • Work closely with Business Units to develop short and long term strategies to achieve sales growth.
  • Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets.
  • Manage all aspects of the selling process.
  • Manage and build relationships with existing customers.
  • Work closely with demand planning, providing monthly forecast guidance.
  • Update opportunities in SalesForce as they progress.
  • Focus on the customer.

Job Qualifications:

  • Hydrocolloid, Protein, Emulsifiers, and/or Stabilizer knowledge, preferably for beverage applications.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably Beverage.
  • Industry/customer knowledge.
  • Ability to coordinate cross functional team activity.
  • Ownership/Accountability/Drive.
  • Negotiation skills and Business acumen.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Food Science degree or applicable Industry knowledge. BioChemistry, Food Science, Food & Nutrition, Food Technology or any other relevant industry.
  • Proven track record in account development, creating and supporting delivery of strategies to meet business objectives

You will be reporting to the Dairy & Beverage Industry Sales Leader for NAM. You will directly manage regional accounts, promoting IFF Ingredients to customers in the Beverage space. You will be supported by various groups across the business including Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations, and Finance to achieve a common goal.
