Director of Operations

Job Objective:
The Director of Operations oversees, manages and/or coordinates activities of budgeting, store
sales, production, property & equipment management, and work therapy assignments.
Essential Functions:

Financial:
- Manages staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountability.
- Supports the Administrator for Business in budget preparation and daily management of
the center budget. Proactively guides assigned departments to work within approved
budget.
- Review's finance and sales reports daily/weekly. Cross checks for accuracy bringing any
questions to the bookkeeper.
Production:
- Oversight of all product donation pick-up and store delivery.
- Oversight of all warehouse production working to find most efficient and effective ways to
control cost while meeting customer service needs.
- Develop and support the implementation of Product Control Procedures preventing
shrinkage through theft or spoilage.
- Oversee purchasing of supplies needed for production. Following all purchasing policies for
the center.
- Work with venders to ensure rag and bulk sales are handled effetely and at a profit to the
center taking care to work to meet the bottom line.
- Maintain and review records concerning product acquisition, production and sales, note
trends and take appropriate action to maintain established quotas.
- Provide Administrators with reports requested.
Store Operations:
- Oversees store operations.
- Participates in forecasting of sales
- Attend/lead monthly manager's meetings

Works with leadership team and ARC Command to develop marketing strategies and
sales. Oversee implementation of marketing in stores.
Property & Equipment:
- Oversee the preventative maintenance of center properties and equipment.
- Oversee that the warehouse and stores are being run in accordance with OSHA Safety
Guidelines and meets all TSA Policies.
- Oversee that the ARC Fleet meets all Federal and State Regulations and TSA Commercial
Motor Vehicle Policies.
- Oversee the regular updating of the inventory for each department/property.
- Control property, utility and product supply waste.
- Manage minor property repairs and contact preferred vendors on projects.
- Gather and submit bids for assigned property projects.
- Works with TSA Leadership to determine opportunities for expansion and contraction of
stores. Submit all financial, civic, property and legal documents to Administrator for ARC
CFB processing and approval.
- Works with TSA Leadership to complete and submit all necessary documents for lease
renewals.
Program:
- Work with ARC Director for Rehabilitation Services in assigning, supervising and training of
beneficiaries to maximize work therapy goals. Work with department leaders to support the
success of the beneficiaries.
- All other Duty's as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or
abilities required for this position.
Education & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or one of the industrial arts and
sciences is preferred; and five years of experience in industry with duties including
production scheduling, supervision and recruitment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications:
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and qualify to drive TSA vehicles.
- Must be a fork lift certified driver. Being a certified trainer preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective
communication with leadership and center personnel.
Must have basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and be
able to become proficient in other proprietary software programs. Strong Excel skills a plus.
Must be able to problem solve.

Must have good people development and management skills.

Supervisory Responsibility:
- Oversees the Regional Manager, Store Managers, Warehouse Manager, Transportation
Supervisor/Dispatcher and Maintenance staff. Including the
o Recruiting
o Interviewing
o recommends for hire
o training
o supervising
- Annually provide direct reports with a personnel review.
- Oversees time and attendance for assigned personnel using the current payroll system.
Checks time logs regularly. Following all current regulations and trainings.
- Reviews payroll and approves for direct reports.
- Supports and develops supervisors and managers as they provide leadership to the rest of
their staff.
- Ensures the TSA Policies and Procedures for Human Resources are being followed at all
levels.
- Support Managers to create and deliver corrective actions ensuring all documentation is
completed according to TSA HR Policies and Procedures. Providing recommendations for
termination when needed. Refer staff to Human Resource team as needed.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The work environment for this position is a store/warehouse/office environment with a quiet to
moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations
based on weather. May stand for extended periods
Travel:
- Able and willing to travel to each of the center properties on a regular basis.
- Able and willing to attend trainings as assigned by Administrator.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical warehouse/office/store environment. Full-time position; will require
weekend and evening hours.
