About the role: CLA is hiring Seasonal Tax Preparers. Locations include Austin MN, Mankato MN, New Ulm MN, Owatonna MN, and Rochester MN. This role will start with CLA January 2025 and end in mid-April 2025. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer you will: Prepare individual tax returns (1040's) and possibly corporate, partnership, and other types of returns (depending on experience) Provide basic accounting services as needed Perform all work in compliance with the firm's policies and procedures Maintain technical tax skills through on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions Communicate directly with client when appropriate Other duties may be assigned What you will need: Either a 2 or 4-year accounting degree is preferred (relevant work experience, may be considered in-lieu of degree) 1-2 years of tax return preparation experience preferred but not required Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation CPA desired but not required Prior experience with a public accounting and/or professional services firm preferred Strong analytical skills to enable effective decision-making Solid written and oral communication skills Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner #LI-NG1 Equal Opportunity Employer /AA Employer/Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
