Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

We Require

  • Two years of administrative experience, with at least one year supporting senior management-level positions

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Associate degree or higher

  • More than three years of experience providing responsible administrative support to a senior-level executive.

  • Experience working in a public health, clinical setting, healthcare, social services, non-profit, or public administration setting.

  • Experience with operating a board meeting.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Job Contributions

  • Primarily provide administrative support to the Chief Medical Officer, Directors, and executive leadership team

  • Process employee requests for Telecom devices/equipment by organizing the department's requests; work with the Enterprise Technology and Innovation Department to ensure precision of device needs and consistency across all divisions and programs

  • Support the County's Board of Health activities, setting up meetings and communicating with members and other departments while supporting processes and procedures in alignment with state statutes, county rules, and bylaws

  • Manage calendars, schedule complex meetings, and highlight key activities, commitments, engagements, and deliverables; identify conflicts and coordinate resolutions

  • Schedule and set up meetings and webinars, prepare agendas and handouts, take and outline meeting notes, and perform other related duties

  • Coordinate with internal and external staff and partners to manage and coordinate requests

  • Assist with recruiting new staff; schedule and set up interviews; coordinate physical and/or virtual interview locations; prepare and submit HR-related paperwork

  • Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and other documents containing complex public health information and data

  • Complete and submit travel requests with required documentation

Working Conditions

  • This role is eligible for hybrid/telecommuting

  • The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time
