Our Team

The dedicated Vascular Ultrasound department at Corewell Health East consists of inpatient and outpatient locations at Royal Oak (Trauma 1), Troy and Grosse Pointe hospitals with an additional four satellites. Annually, we perform 40,000+ studies which include carotid, upper/lower venous/arterial, all visceral vessels, intra-op, as well as pre- and post-operative.

This vascular ultrasound manager, with the support of a supervisor, will lead a team of thirty-five skilled technicians with one scheduler.

Scope of work

To be responsible for the overall daily operations of the Vascular Ultrasound services across one or more inpatient and/or outpatient CHE acute care delivery locations. This includes developing protocols, policies and procedures for operations, monitoring patient flow, managing staff, participating in quality assurance/improvement initiatives, assisting with revenue cycle, interacting with physicians, and assisting in patient care. The Manager, Vascular Ultrasound is responsible for maintaining applicable accreditation and quality metrics for the department.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program with experience in performing vascular examinations Required.
  • A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a related field Preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience as an ultrasound sonographer Required.
  • Five years relevant supervisory or management experience Preferred.
  • ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Required or
  • CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) Required.
