OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Senior Developer, you will be part of our research and development team innovating and developing the next-gen capabilities to help the business become more efficient. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Analyzing, designing and developing new applications, features and enhancements

o Enhancing the software platform in the areas of business logic processes, distributed transactions, session management, database and network connections and overall system performance

o Providing innovative ideas and strategies in software applications to enhance business efficiency

o Debugging the software and participating in code review processes and mentoring entry-level developers in software design best practices

o Applying best-practice security principles to software applications

o Acting as a liaison with Business Analysts to ensure capabilities are aligned with the requirements

o Acting as a liaison with the Quality Assurance team to develop testing approaches

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Math, Data Science, Actuarial Science OR a related degree

o Possess 2 years of software development experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Demonstrate strong attention to detail

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Prior development experience with Java including OOD, design patterns, data modeling, session management, serialization, persistence, XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services, Microservices and other related Java EE technologies

o Prior experience in efficient web front end design and development

o Prior experience with AI

o Prior experience with cloud services like Azure

o Prior experience in embedded firmware development in IoT will be a plus

o Motivation to learn new technologies and have an innovation mindset
