Is an internship passionate about changing the world's energy future intriguing? If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for! In this paid internship you will help perform MOOSE-based phase-field modeling work for predicting microstructural evolution in nuclear environments. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with MOOSE, finite element method, and phase-field model. You will develop phase-field models for evolution of grains and other by-products of both fission and fusion reactions. You will support formal report preparation. Reporting to the Computational Mechanics and Materials group. This team works a 9x80 schedule, and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university. Qualifications
