About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to join us. This position requires the resource to be located in Plano, TX as it will be required to be onsite 3 days a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Automation Planning and Execution:
  • The role involves developing and executing an automation planning and scripting strategy.
  • This is a fundamental responsibility for ensuring that automation is carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Test Framework Development:
  • The candidate is expected to design and develop reusable test frameworks for both UI and API testing.
  • Emphasis is placed on reusability and maintainability of test scripts, which is crucial for long-term efficiency.
  • Test Script Integration:
  • Managing the integration of automated test scripts with a test management tool indicates a focus on efficient test management and reporting.
  • Problem Solving:
  • The role requires the ability to analyze and solve complex problems and motivate team members to produce creative solutions.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Experience:
  • The requirements specify proven experience in API and APP automation testing and creating test frameworks.
  • This ensures that the candidate has the necessary background in automation.
  • Tool Familiarity:
  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of tools like Appium, as well as cloud platforms like Perfecto, Seetest, or Saucelabs etc.

  • API Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of backend services and API testing methodologies is essential for this role.
  • Scripting Skills:
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java or Python for test automation is a key requirement, indicating a technical aspect of the job.
  • CI/CD Experience:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines reflects the importance of automation in the software development lifecycle.
  • Agile Familiarity:
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is mentioned, suggesting a preference for candidates who can work in an Agile environment.
