The center's scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. ABOUT THIS POSITION

The APD will work directly with leadership at the Center of Excellence for Children's Behavioral Health (COE) to provide team leadership and stewardship of program resources and achievement of assigned goals and objectives. The APD will serve as the lead for GHPC's school-based behavioral health (SBBH) initiatives, including overseeing a team providing technical assistance and evaluation support for a strong and growing statewide school-based mental health program conducted by the state's mental health authority. The APD will provide leadership and guidance for the program's technical assistance and evaluation lead staff, will ensure that deliverables are met in a timely and quality fashion, will provide project and budget management for this work, and will be a central liaison with our state partners engaged in SBBH work. The APD will also be responsible for growing partnerships and expanding opportunities for the COE and GHPC to engage and contribute to SBBH initiatives within the state and nationally, including both programming and research efforts in this area.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversee all assigned work on SBBH projects, ensuring completion of timely and quality deliverables.
• Serves as a liaison with key partners and stakeholders involved in SBMH work in the state of Georgia and nationally.
• Provides project management for SBBH work, including monitoring and managing the budgets associated with this work, along with the scope of work, liaising with partners as needed.
• Provides substantive feedback and content on deliverables.
• Provides leadership and guidance to two staff leading SBMH technical assistance and evaluation efforts.
• Provides leadership for a larger team supporting a large and growing statewide SBMH program.
• Assists in linking technical assistance and evaluation efforts to provide ongoing, excellent work in both areas.
• Writes project reports, briefing papers, policy white papers, technical tools, infographics, posters, oral presentations, and peer-reviewed research articles.
• Contributes to and builds personal and team subject matter knowledge around core topics that influence SBBH.
• Mentors internal staff and provide supervision, career development, and support within or outside of the project or competency area (direct reports and/or project teams).
• Build new and maintains existing relationships with external clients and partners by developing strategic relationship goals and objectives.
• Coordinates and grows research and engaged scholarship.
• Facilitate meetings, including the development of meeting goals and objectives, meeting announcements and materials, and reports meeting results.
• Leads the development of new proposals and opportunities for expanding GHPC's SBBH footprint with the state of Georgia and nationally.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

• It is expected that the candidate will have at least five years of experience in project management and experience managing projects and teams where Behavioral Health and/or School-Based Behavioral Health is a focus.
• The ideal candidate will have significant evaluation and/or technical assistance expertise.
