About This Position Responsible for overseeing kitchen in a multi-unit facility where there are multiple kitchens located on a single location or campus. Supervises team members involved in supervising inmate trustees preparing, serving and the clean-up of food service areas. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Supervises food service workers, which may include inmate labor, in the daily preparation of meals for assigned unit. Conducts daily open and close inspections of all areas within assigned unit. Performs weekly inventory and replenishes stock by completing order requirements. Train all new food service workers on standard operating procedures and company policies Schedules workers to insure effective performance of unit food service production. Insures ordering and all required reports are completed accurately and on time. Ensures that food items are stored in a safe and hazard free manner. Ensures that food items are stored in a safe and hazard free manner. Responsible for overseeing all preventive maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the Program. Manages food service operation in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as required local, state and federal laws and regulations. Maintain all serving schedules, ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to departmental guidelines Maintain a sanitary environment following food service and Health Department codes and regulations. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business. What You'll Need High School diploma, or GED Minimum 2 years food service experience Supervisory experience preferred Experience in the use and operation of a variety of kitchen equipment Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports Experience in high volume food preparation, operations and service Experience with safety procedures as applied to food preparation and cooking Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Benefits TKC Holdings, Inc. offers comprehensive benefits to all regular-full time employees: Medical w/prescription coverage Benefit Credit received when enrolled in a TKC medical plan, to help offset your benefit costs.
