Discover your exciting role

The Senior Manager EHS is responsible for working with and
advising project leadership and field personnel to ensure
implementation of our Incident Free Workplace culture. Will
also be responsible for managing the tasks and responsibilities
of EHS Coordinators and Administrators.


Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manages site safety program and implements improvements to
    assure that those managing the work embrace safety as part of
    the work culture.
  • Manages focus of project leadership and field personnel to
    ensure implementation of safety activities throughout projects.
    The focus always on incident prevention, risk removal, or
    reduction.
  • Manages tasks, responsibilities, and priorities of project
    EHS staff.
  • Promotes, obtains, and submits site audits. Audits work
    areas to identify, facilitate and correct potential hazards and
    ensure compliance with safety regulations. Audits for a
    successful safety culture. Coaches where and when needed.
  • Participates in the creation of job hazard plans, tasks
    submittals, and safety specifications and verifies that all
    safety precautions have been included.
  • Maintains liaison with outside organizations such as
    clinics, fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue
    teams to assure correct site information and assistance to
    support for the project.
  • Conducts and communicates incident investigation findings
    to minimize reoccurrence, assures the preparation of accident
    reports, and confirms closure of corrective actions.
  • Encourages and promotes the value of early incident or
    injury reporting from those onsite
  • Encourages the submittal of near misses, good catches,
    lesson learned or best practices and promotes the recognition
    of those helping with that effort.
  • Reviews any subcontractor safety submittals and prepares
    any additional controls or oversight based on their history.

Minimum Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have one of the following Professional
    Certifications/License or in the pursuit of:

    Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

    Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

    Safety Management Specialist (SMS)

    Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)

    Professional Engineer License (PE)

    Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental
    Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or related field
    preferred
  • Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and
    Operability Studies (HAZOP), and Failure Mode and Effects
    Analysis (FMEA).
  • Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
    standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and coordination skills.
  • Experience as EHS Manager on large complex construction
    projects.
