Introduction to the job

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

As an intern, you will work with R&D engineers and test prototyping computer vision algorithms help SEM inspection and metrology tasks for various patterns/layers, improve system throughput and computation efficiency.

Role and responsibilities

  • Participate in algorithm development for Ebeam inspection and metrology

  • Improving accuracy of defect classification, and defect detection

  • Research and develop ML algorithms for defect inspection and classification, as well as metrology jobs such as contouring

  • Develop data analytics tooling to process inspection and metrology output data, parameter tuning tools

Education and experience

College student majoring in electrical engineering, computer science, data science, applied math or other related fields

Skills

  • Experience in scientific programming language such as Python, Matlab, C/C++

  • Good knowledge of linear algebra, data science, image processing, machine learning / deep learning techniques

  • Good communication and organizational skills
