An innovative opportunity for a PA to collaborate with attending hospitalists on the Hospital Medicine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital!
This opportunity includes direct patient care from admission to discharge and a cross-coverage model for general inpatient medicine patients and subspecialty services. The PA will follow 6 patients on average, with one admission per day. The PA promotes a cohesive relationship and effort between the hospitalists, private physicians, nurses, and the remainder of the interdisciplinary health care team. Applicants for this position should be patient-centered, motivated, and upbeat clinicians that want to on a large academic team with MD/DO colleagues and NP/PA peers. You are a self-starter and able to respond, triage, and systematically care for both non-urgent and acute issues that arise in our patients. This position is for a rotation of both day and night coverage - The day and night positions are each 12 hour coverage models, with the night being primarily cross coverage and admitting responsibilities. PA's during day coverage should expect to work from 6:45am - 7:15pm and night coverage from 6:45pm - 7:15am.

General medical inpatient or ICU experience is preferred for experienced PAs; however, those with other PA experience may be considered. Current Massachusetts State Licensure, with all associated active certifications as a Physician Assistant in good standing.
