The VP of Industry Sales Specialist and Product Strategy is a responsible for developing strategy to obtain growth targets within the corporate sales segment of Thomson Reuters. This role brings a deep expertise and thought leadership on global products across all industries verticals. This position will lead a team of industry specialists with a deep knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape. Partner internally with Sales Leaders, Product Markets and Product Management to execute on the long-term strategy. Will plan, execute, and monitor sales growth across product lines and industry vertical.

About the Role:

In this opportunity you will:

Sales Strategy & Support:

  • Lead the strategy to develop and refine industry-specific sales strategies, plans, and tactics, including target segmentation, competitive analysis, and value proposition development.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, providing insights across all sales and customer success products and industries.
  • Leads a team of industry specialists that are responsible to provide industry knowledge and competitive data to internal teams and sales.
  • Provides direction to the team on information to collect for assessments and gather detailed requirements.
  • Present tailored information to Product Marketing and Product Management to demonstrate what products features can be added for our customer value.

Customer Advocacy:

  • Act as a customer advocate within the company.
  • Identify and develop customer success stories and case studies to highlight the value of our solutions.

Partnerships & Alliances Collaboration:

  • Partner with the sales team and the Partnership & Alliance team to develop and execute GTM campaigns with partners.
  • Participate in joint strategic account planning sessions with the sales leaders and internal team to ensure that the partner attach metric is met/exceeded for the targeted industry.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute product marketing campaigns.
  • Provide input on marketing materials, ensuring they accurately represent product capabilities and align with sales strategies.

Product Roadmap and M&A Influence, including Product Marketing Coordination:

  • Provide analysis and feedback market data to inform the product development team to influence the product roadmap, contribute to the prioritization of features, and continuously improve our solutions and processes.
  • Participate in M&A strategy and due diligence for prospective.

About You:

You're a fit for the role if you have:

  • 15+ years experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of sales strategy, sales process, and leadership.
  • 5+ years leading teams to drive performance management, development, and growth in markets.
  • Thought leadership.
  • Presenting to Sr. Leadership
  • Develop and Execute Strategic planning.
  • Customer centric approach with strong skills in influencing, negotiation, complex problem solving and conflict management.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and adapt to shifting circumstances.
  • Excellent ability to develop and manage relationships with complex and global teams.
  • Resourceful and highly organized self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast paced, highly collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to successfully partner and leverage supporting team of Sales, Product Development and Marketing.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $329,000 - $611,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
