LOGISTICS ANALYST (Advanced)
LOCATIONS: Huntsville, AL
SUMMARY: The Logistics Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) with acquisition planning, development, engineering and technical assessment, implementation, execution and management of the 12 IPS elements across the MDS portfolio and throughout the MDS Defense Acquisition Life Cycle.

- Directs activities to conduct focused logistics strategic planning and analysis for all phases of life-cycle management of assigned programs/projects.
- Coordinates with technical design activities, vendors, logisticians, and engineers to define and revise acquisition and supportability requirements for developmental programs and rapid capability planning.
- Identifies and updates initial requirements and analysis for systems/equipment designs considering operational, supportability, and resourcing factors.
- Establishes and assists in the planning, development, coordination, and execution of required milestone documentation to fully support program of record or project system initiatives.
- Leads integrated product support teams and works independently to provide support capability and solve complex life-cycle logistics problems.
- Develops life-cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents for assigned programs.
- Provides daily supervision and direction to logistics support teams. Develops and presents briefings to MDA senior leaders.
- Identifies and applies appropriate logistics management concepts, policies and practices to newly developed and legacy systems during acquisition and sustainment phases.
- Applies logistics analyses and uses analytical tools to effectively assess integrated product support elements, mitigate risks, and develop risk management options.
- Leverages knowledge of continuous process improvement, contract management, acquisition, planning, funding, and management information systems to optimize life-cycle logistics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- MA/MS degree in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment and/or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; OR BA/BS degree in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment, and/or related field with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience; OR AA/AS degree in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment, and/or related field with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
- Experience directing activities to conduct focused logistics strategic planning and analysis for all phases of life-cycle management.
- Experience coordinating with technical design activities, vendors, logisticians, and engineers to define initial and revised acquisition and supportability requirements.
- Experience identifying and updating initial requirements and analysis for systems/equipment designs from an operational, supportability, and resourcing perspective.
- Experience establishing and assisting in the planning, development, coordination, and execution of required milestone documentation.
- Experience leading integrated product support teams or working independently to provide support capability and solve complex life-cycle logistics problems.
- Experience developing life-cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents.
- Experience identifying and applying logistics management concepts, policies and practices to newly developed and legacy systems during acquisition and sustainment.
- Experience applying logistics analyses and using analytical tools to effectively assess integrated product support elements and mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of continuous process improvement, contract management, acquisition, planning, funding, and management information systems.
- Ability to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop and present briefings to senior leaders.
- Possess required security clearance as defined in the SOW (TS, TS/SCI, S)
