JOB SUMMARY

The Ultrasound Transducer Engineer will participate in ultrasound transducer projects through the product development process from feasibility and prototype building through verification and transfer to production. The engineer will be responsible for participating in transducer design efforts in house as well as assembling and verify transducers for use in Test and Inspection equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, builds, and tests ultrasound transducers using a design for manufacturing approach. Design scope includes electro-mechanical devices involving motion and ultrasound imaging
  • Scope of work includes simulations, fabrication, testing as well as requirements development and test plans.
  • Work closely with pilot manufacturing line and operations group to develop a device build process.
  • Substantiate product design by developing test plans, performing design analysis, making design adjustments, running performance calculations, and maintaining quality standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Education

  • MS, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or MS, Physics, Materials Science

Professional experience

  • 10+ years total industry experience
  • 5+ years' experience within R&D product development

  • Team player with good organization skills and work ethic.
  • Creative with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions with known unknowns.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
