Job Summary

Responsible for providing Institute-wide user training and customer service and giving Level 5 approval for change position funding transactions in OneUSG Connect. Analyze and approve Express Direct Retro (EDR) transactions and resolve tickets and system issues within University System of Georgia (USG) and GT ServiceNow. Also, maintain and update the Department Budget Table, correct invalid funding, review supplemental pay requests, reconcile data between OneUSG Connect, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and Workday, run and validate payroll expenditures and encumbrances, and monitor and clear suspense and undesignated worktags.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: Department and central office financial and human resources team members.

This position typically will advise and counsel: Financial and human resources users.

This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Approve redistributions of position funding and provide general customer support.
Job Duty 2 - Assist in running reports and correcting errors prior to all payroll runs.
Job Duty 3 - Review and analyze EDR and Change Position Funding (CPF) transactions for accuracy, then notify departments of inaccurate transactions.
Job Duty 4 - Review, analyze, and update the Department Budget Table to correct invalid funding entries. Assist with troubleshooting and correcting budget errors after payroll processing.
Job Duty 5 - Monitor and collaborate with departments to clear suspense and undesignated worktags promptly.
Job Duty 6 - Analyze position and funding data in payroll system for accuracy.
Job Duty 7 - Update training materials and train campus users. Participate in testing new system releases.
Job Duty 8 - Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
One to three years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Higher education, PeopleSoft and OneUSG Connect experience preferred.

Preferred Experience
PeopleSoft, Workday Financials, and OneUSG Connect experience preferred.

Proposed Salary

$23.02 - $27.50 Hourly

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Strong ability to manage and maintain effective working relationships with diverse populations. Ability to perform and make important decisions effectively under pressure.

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of budget and accounting principles methodologies. Grant accounting principles and philosophies.

SKILLS
Strongly proficient in written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, customer service, organization, strong attention to detail, and interpersonal relationship building. Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
