Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the planning and implementation of the production schedule for the various product lines. Purchase necessary raw materials and supplies to meet production requirements. Coordinate multiple activities to assure on-time delivery, production and inventory goals are met.

  • Plan and schedule orders to assure customer needs are met. Release work orders to assigned production cells or focus factory as required to meet organizational objectives.
  • Forecast raw material and tooling consumption for assigned production cells or focus factory.
  • Coordinate supplier's delivery schedules to meet production needs.
  • Monitor resource requirements to assure schedule requirements are met.
  • Interface with other departments (Shipping, Engineering, Quality) to resolve problems with timely delivery and assist with disposition of rejection notices.
  • Interface with production to resolve problems relevant to wire receipt, raw material quality, quantity verification, cost allocation and wire issuance.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute production inventory level reports to management.
  • Provides customer service with accurate estimations of booked capacity to allow accurate quoting of customer lead-times.
  • Develops and communicates updated Production Plan and Master Schedule on a monthly basis in order to achieve company business plan.
  • Review machine capacity
  • Quote delivery dates
  • Update due dates in system.
  • Review past dues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, JIT concepts and MRP also required
  • Expert in Excel and data analysis
  • Advanced understanding of MRP/ERP inputs and outputs
  • Well developed communication skills are utilized to interact with all levels inside and outside the facility.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace manufacturing or Fastener or metal forming experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

  • Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
  • The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 25 pounds.
  • Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.
  • Need to be able to wear safety steel toe shoes and walk around at shop floor environment as needed.
