Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.

Job Duties:

This position is responsible for the following:

    Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.
  • Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
  • Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment.
  • Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
  • Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.
  • Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughout patients care.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients.
  • Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.

Qualifications

JOB Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to treat all patients and co-workers with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
  • Ability to handle multi-functions.
  • Ability to relate to public regardless of ethnic, religious and economic status.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Qualifications, Education, AND Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree required.
  • Licensed in the state of Georgia as an OB/GYN.
  • DEA Certification required.
  • Prior experience as an OB/GYN preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.
  • Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing/documentation and verbal skills.
