FlexStaff is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant for our client. This is a temporary role (ending February 28, 2025) responsible for ensuring compliance obligations are efficient, on time, and accurate, while minimizing the company's sales tax liabilities. Location: HYBRID, Melville, NY The schedule for this role is in the office for one week once a month on the second/third week of the month, preferably before the 20th of each month. This role will require you to be in the office for 5 days. 35 hours per week / 7 hours daily $47.80/hour Responsibilities Prepare, review and file sales and use tax returns from Vertex for multiple states, to comply with state and local regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Accounting preferred), CPA helpful 3-5 years of multi-state sales tax accounting experience Experience researching tax rules and regulations for products and services. Proficiency with Vertex Returns, or similar tax management systems required. Oracle and Tableau experience a plus Strong Excel skills are required Ability to work independently and interact well with others *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
