Title: Electrical Test Engineer Location: Pascagoula, MS. GENERAL FUNCTION: As part of the Engineering Test organization, the applicant shall be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to effectively administer regulatory guidance and to interpret ship's specification(s), along with contractual deliverables, with construction and testing equipment for Electrical Distribution Systems and Electrical/ Electronic Equipment. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Works closely with the Customer, or Government Representative, with resolving all matters pertaining to the development of Test Agendas and Test Procedures on Electrical Distribution Systems (including Generators, Switchboards, etc.) and electronics equipment. Additionally, ensures quality sustainment with specific function of any engineering product. As the SME for Electrical Distribution Systems and Electrical Equipment, the Applicant shall utilize his/her technical expertise and experience to provide recommendations with assisting both internal and external customer(s) on issues and concerns regarding testing of shipboard systems and equipment. Possess the ability to review drawings with corresponding changes, correctly interpret ship specifications, and verify Vendor Furnished Information to support functional testing requirements with installed shipboard systems. This function of responsibility may also require the Electrical Test Engineer to serve as a witness to evaluate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with regards to the functionality of a designed product at the Vendor's facility. As a Team Member of the Engineering Testing Group, the Electrical Test Engineer must have the ability to work closely with Management Teams to resolve test related issues in a timely manner. Additionally, recognize schedule compliance with production through the development of associated correspondence to support construction and testing requirements. DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Strong engineering knowledge in shipboard systems and equipment including operation and design. Ability to work in a team environment. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations. Strong computer literacy. EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Experience in electrical engineering, shipbuilding, production, and testing processes. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
