Summary

Save the Children US is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director, Influencer and Talent Relations to attract, onboard, and cultivate relationships with Talent, Influencers and Key Opinion Leaders who are passionate about creating a better world for children. This role is pivotal in building and managing relationships with influential individuals across a broad section of industries who can advocate for and amplify Save the Children's mission to key audiences including the American public, elected officials, foundations, corporate partners, and institutions. The Senior Director will spearhead efforts to enlist influential voices in support of children's rights and welfare, driving awareness, engagement, and support for our programs, advocacy and fundraising initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)



  • Strategy Development (20%)

    • Design and define industry-leading influencer strategies aligned with Save the Children's organizational goals and priorities: setting objectives, developing tactics and measuring effectiveness.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to align influencer activities with broader organizational objectives.


  • Influencer Relations (40%)

    • Identify, recruit, and manage a diverse roster of influencers from a cultural cross-section of industries including entertainment, sports, technology, parenting, education, global development, social justice and children's rights. Leverage tools to source and vet prospective influencers and lead the due diligence process.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with influencers, helping to build an authentic and enduring connection with Save the Children's mission.
    • Forge strategic partnerships with talent agencies, PR firms, and influencer platforms to enhance recruitment and management capabilities.


  • Influencer Activation (20%)

    • Lead and provide team direction in the management of influencer activities including thought leadership, events, program visits and campaign activation from idea development to content briefings, implementation, and reporting. Align and collaborate with media, PR, social, brand activation, digital, and all other stakeholders - internal and external to maximize reach and impact.


  • Team Development and Resource Management (20%)

    • Train, develop, coach, lead, and supervise staff, clearly communicating organization, division and department priorities, and how their work contributes to our mission, ensuring that the working environment continually fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging - supporting Save the Children values. Manage operational budget for influencer team including travel, events etc.




Required Qualifications



  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience in influencer relations, talent management, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) partnerships, or related field.
  • Proven ability to develop meaningful influencer relationships that consistently drive impact and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated network and relationships across a broad section of industries within the influencer, talent and KOL communities, with experience managing high-profile individuals and talent.
  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, including professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Passion for children's rights and social justice, with a commitment to Save the Children's mission.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite.


Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:



  • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $108,800 - $121,600 base salary
  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $98,600 - $110,200 base salary
  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $88,400 - $98,800 base salary


The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here). Employee may be eligible for an incentive program.
