Sinch is looking for a Deliverability Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role is crucial to ensuring our customers are happy and have the best delivery possible on the Mailgun and Mailjet email platforms! As a member of this team, you will be responsible for auditing and resolving reputation issues along with being an advocate for email practices to teammates and customers. What else does a Deliverability Operations Specialist do?
Responsibilities
- Measure and improve the reputation of our sending infrastructure to ensure delivery rates are always within an acceptable range
- Investigate, diagnose, and remediate delivery and deliverability issues by collaborating with customers, internal teams, mailbox providers, and anti-spam vendors
- Analyze Delivery Status Notification (DSN) messages to optimize our bounce classification system
- Assist Deliverability Engineers in reviewing and managing our IP inventory
- Use the data from billions of SMTP connections to identify connection and throughput limits and propose modifications
- Collaborate with our Deliverability Services teams with the onboarding and ongoing support of their clients
- Work closely with our Reputation Engineering team to propose and build improvements to our platform
- Participate in the email community and represent Sinch Email at industry events such as M3AAWG, and contributing to building a network in the industry
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an email deliverability role
- Strong familiarity with end-to-end delivery (IP addresses, DNS, SMTP, authentication, etc.)
- Knowledge of ISP/domain-specific delivery policies, deliverability, best practices, and anti-spam laws like CAN-SPAM and CASL
- High capacity for making swift prioritizations and actions as needed to support both our internal teams and our customers
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (familiarity with Kibana or similar is a plus!), including using the data to analyze, report, and make delivery related decisions
- You are proactive and self-motivated to identify and tackle problems; you are comfortable with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy
- Ability to work with a physically distributed team and work a flexible schedule to cover shifts
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

The annual starting salary for this position is between $68,000 - 85,600. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
