Counterintelligence Analyst - Senior

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Cherokee Insights is seeking a Counterintelligence Analyst to provide senior-level analytic expertise to the AD to identify, assess, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The CI Analyst will facilitate USG responses to adversary action by sharing threat indicators and enabling responsive measures from other agencies and services and enable the development and operationalization of enterprise security risk management methodology across Government and industry stakeholders.

Counterintelligence Analyst - Senior Responsibilities Include:



  • Conduct analytical research that establishes/refutes FIE threat to U.S. technologies, information, and supply chains impacting cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA.
  • Conduct CI analysis to identify and assess FIE threats to DCSA, the trusted workforce, and sensitive information and technology resident within cleared industry.
  • Research, synthesize, exploit, evaluate, and analyze all-source reporting on FIE targeting USG critical technologies, programs, information, and supply chains.
  • Develop analytical products that effectively articulate FIE threat to U.S. technologies, information, and supply chains impacting cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA.
  • Produce analytic products within established timelines adjusting product development accordingly to provide useful analysis to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Disseminate intelligence information to customers and stakeholders that enable responsive measures from DCSA, and other agencies and services.
  • Establish collaborative networks with key personnel to enhance or inform analytical production, improves integration, and advances DCSA's CI mission.
  • Routinely communicate with customers, review customer feedback, and make production adjustments to improve upon existing processes and/or product lines benefitting CI's mission.
  • Remain aware of events of customer (DCSA CI and Insider Threat Directorate, Industrial Security, and other relevant USG agencies) activities and schedules and of intelligence requirements and priorities.
  • Establish collaborative networks with key DCSA, DoD, IC, and LE personnel that significantly enhance or inform CI analytic production or advance CI and Insider Threat Directorate's support to the Facility Clearance Level mission.
  • Initiate, engage and sustain relationships with mission areas partners to advocate for Threat Integration Branch (TIB) mission and products, while providing meaningful contributions to the implementation and development of Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI)/FIE mitigation and security measures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Counterintelligence Analyst - Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Must have an active Top Secret / SCI level security clearance.
  • Desired to have a minimum 12 years of experience related to the CI Analyst role with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Preferred to have a Master's degree
  • Graduate of in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military Service equivalent.
  • Produces IC-coordinated all-source intelligence analytic products on foreign intelligence entities capabilities, intentions, willingness, and opportunities to threaten U.S. DoD personnel, resources, activities, and interests worldwide.
  • Analysis is comprised of regional and functional CI topics, including foreign intelligence threats to Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) and DoD supply chains and emerging technologies, and threats from foreign intelligence technical equipment to the DoD.
  • Demonstrate analytic integrity, rigor, and tradecraft standards by adhering to applicable IC Directives and DoD Instructions, and relevant organizational guidelines.
  • Provides analytic support to senior officials, collectors, and operators throughout the DoD, IC, and law enforcement agencies/organizations and for DCSA's CI programs, functions, and mission activities.
  • Conduct all-source finished intelligence research, analysis and writing in support of region requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
  • Able to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
  • Structures analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/ soft copy matrices and/ or web-enabled formats.
  • Collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing anal},tic disputes and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
