Position Title: Molding Machine Operator
Wage: $17-$18/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:45pm-1:30am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Molding Machine Operator for a company in Springfield, MO. This is a contract to hire role. Molding Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate and monitor a transfer injection molding machine or 2 transfer molding machines - Handle raw material by adding and removing machine products to and from the machine bin - Clean and maintain molding machines on daily basis ensuring equipment remains in good condition - Clean and de flash fabricated molds - Constantly observe and monitor machines and products to provide quality product conformance to customer requirements - Rework or sort any red tags in conformance with departmental guidelines - Ensure quality of produced product - Execute setup of machines for production - Acquire skill to change machine molds - Load and unload machine hoppers - Perform machine startup and shutdown - Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and operate instructions as well as utilize measuring tools daily - Complete and maintain daily production output records - Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety and health policies - Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator - Work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices - Work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification - Comply with company policies and procedures - Perform other duties as assigned Molding Machine Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - 1-3 months of experience preferred - Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program - Use hands to finger, handle, or feel, may have to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl - Must frequently lift up to 10lbs and may occasionally lift up to 50lbs and occasionally 100lbs with assistance - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
