Position Title: Production / Tool Room Machinist
Wage: $34.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Production / Tool Room Machinist at a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Production / Tool Room Machinist Responsibilities: - Fabricate and repair tools, dies and fixtures using hand tools and precision equipment - Interpret blueprints, sketches and CAD files to determine specifications for tooling and machining - Take precision measurements and do calculations for tooling - Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders and CNC machines - Edit and program with G code - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and make necessary adjustments or repairs - Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling designs and improve manufacturing - Preform work using various pieces of equipment (MasterCam X9; ProtoTrak mills; Okuma lathe; TREE 800 VMC Mill; ProtoTrak DPM2 3-axis bed mill, ProtoTrak K3 2-axis knee mill, table saws, band saws, shear, grinders, sanders, drill press, buffers) Requirements for Production / Tool Room Machinist: - High School Diploma or GED - At least two years of experience in tool and die or at least five years in a precision machining environment - Journeyman/Tool and Die Maker Certificate preferred - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges and micrometers) - Good math skills - Ability to interpret blueprints - Good communication skills with ability to read, write and comprehend in English QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
