Job Summary: The BDO Alliance USA, a subsidiary of BDO USA, P.C., is a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting, and service firms with similar client service goals. It is the largest association of accounting and professional services firms in the U.S. and among the industry's largest in the world. As a part of BDO Alliance USA, the Business Resource Network (BRN) consists of independent firms providing a wide range of products and services that can help CPA firms and other organizations go to market more effectively, such as technology services, industry-specific needs, property/facility solutions, funding, and more. The CPA Alliance Relationship Director (Director) is responsible for managing the relationship between Alliance members and BDO USA. In this role, the Director performs initial orientations once the firm becomes an Alliance member and "refreshers," as needed. The Director may also be charged with recruiting new Alliance members to the group.
Job Duties:
- Manages client relationships by keeping Alliance members informed of all appropriate BDO programs, services, policies, etc., specifically focusing on elements which match well with the Alliance's individual practice profiles and niches
- Serves as liaison between Alliance firms, service providers, vendors, BDO personnel and BDO offices to promote referrals, marketing opportunities and generate business
- Assists Alliance members in planning and coordinating regional alliance meetings
- Provides suggestions for program content for national alliance meetings and actively participates at alliance leadership team meetings
- Identifies potential CPA alliance firms and works with the Alliance Executive Director in the recruiting process
- Serves as ongoing coordinator for all assigned member firms and liaison between domestic Alliance firms, service providers, BDO personnel and BDO Offices
- Manages accounts receivable for Alliance firm's license fees and other monies due to BDO with appropriate follow up with member firms
- Suggests appropriate program innovation and enhancements to improve client satisfaction within the program or in working with BDO
- Collaborates with appropriate leadership team members in monitoring and facilitating the annual anniversary renewals and three-year license contract renewals
- Acts as back-up for other Relationship Directors, as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Business, Accounting or Marketing, preferred
Experience:
- Ten (10) or more years working with Accounting and /or consulting firms, required
- Ten (10) or more years as a consultant to management professionals providing business and financial analysis such as client interaction and referrals, required
- Prior experience running an accounting or professional services practice/firm or ten (10) more years of client relationship management experience, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required
Language(s):
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships with key Alliance firm and BDO leaders
- Solid marketing knowledge with the ability to effectively promote the BDO Alliance program through identifying opportunities and developing marketing plans to provide direction and assistance to Alliance members
- Ability to successfully sell the attributes of the BDO Alliance program to attract new members to the network
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact in an effective and professional manner with a diverse community of people and personalities
- Capable of successfully managing financial and administrative information flow between BDO and the Alliance members
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Capacity to quickly gain a solid understanding of assigned Alliance firms and their key personnel and niche specialists
- Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to conduct meetings, deliver presentations and speak in front of groups
- Capacity for extensive travel, covering large geographic regions
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $175,000 - $300,000 Maryland Range: $175,000 - $300,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $175,000 - $300,000
