Full Time Day Shift, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:




  • The Pathology Medical Archives Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of JHH, JHB and or HCGH Surgical Pathology medical records and release of information for legal and medical purposes.
  • Will coordinate timely send out of pathology materials and reports to outside clinicians, institutions, research facilities, and reference laboratories.
  • Receives and responds to subpoenas and other written authorizations for release of medical records and/or materials with the approval of the appropriate physician, Johns Hopkins general counsel's representative and/or pathology supervisor.
  • Works closely with outside laboratories ensuring correct materials are shipped in the required timeframe, with correct documents (e.g. ABN, financial disclosure, waiver, test requisition etc. Processes all requests for clinical trial research programs.



Minimum Qualifications

Education:




  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma. An Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.



Experience:




  • Requires a minimum of 3 years' related experience preferably in a clinical office environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 16.86 per hour - Maximum 27.84 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
