YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Assistant Payroll Clerk opportunity in our Guymon, OK office. In this highly impactful role, you will assist with payroll processing at our plant with more than 2500 employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform basic data entry tasks, including data verification and aids in the completion of compiling/finalizing weekly payroll processes.
  • Uses an elementary understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis under supervision.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments
  • Effectively communicates, written and verbally, responding timely to questions from supervisors and managers resolving problems and troubleshooting
  • Meets daily/weekly deadlines with regards to payroll
  • Ability to manipulate and maintain excel spreadsheets interpret a variety of instructions
  • Has a general understanding of basic accounting and fills in for other positions within the accounting department

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or two years accounting / bookkeeping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accounting experience desirable, including financial reporting, payroll, billing, or invoicing
  • Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products primarily Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the operations and payroll schedule



SCHEDULE

The hours are Mon-Fri on 1st shift.

  • Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
