The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Salary and Benefits for Outpatient Clinician/Licensed Addictions Counselor/IOP Group Facilitator



  • $68,149 - $73,149 per year; based on previous relevant experience
  • Hiring bonus: 5% of the annual salary, paid upon successfully completing on-boarding (background checks and credentialing) and after six months of employment.

Outpatient Clinician/Licensed Addictions Counselor/IOP Group Facilitator Position Summary

This position is responsible for facilitating Intensive Outpatient Program services to clients served by The Guidance Center, including alcohol/drug evaluation and treatment services. This position is responsible for providing outpatient clinical services to clients served by The Guidance Center, including alcohol/drug evaluation and treatment services.

Responsibilities for Outpatient Clinician/Licensed Addictions Counselor/IOP Group Facilitator




  1. Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning to both mental health and substance abuse clients.



  2. Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning for both mental health and substance abuse clients and Federal and Bureau of Prison clients.



  3. Facilitate three IOP groups weekly, including evening groups and morning groups. Support/ facilitate level one groups as needed.



  4. Provide alcohol/drug assessments and DUI assessments as needed.



  5. Provide treatment to alcohol/drug clients referred through specific programs, such as Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Probation, local court systems, which meets those programs' requirements for content and duration.



  6. Complete group notes that support clinical necessity and progress toward treatment plan goals;



  7. Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.



  8. Provide daytime crisis services when needed




Qualifications for Outpatient Clinician/Licensed Addictions Counselor/IOP Group Facilitator

Required:



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling.
  • Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.
  • Licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LAC, LCAC or LMAC by the first day of employment.



EXPERIENCE:




  • Two semester's master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services.



  • Preferred: post master's clinical experience, experience with the Kansas system of community based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, experience evaluating and treating substance abuse disorders.
