What you'll be doing...

Corporate Systems Group's (CSG) mission is to digitize Verizon's core processes to deliver real time insights and capabilities enabling differentiation to our customers, employees, shareholders and society driving growth and competitive advantage. We are the core of how VZ runs, supporting the corporate lines of business such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Commercial Billing / Settlements and Global Real Estate.

The Workforce Transformation Lead is responsible for leading and managing the organization's workforce transformation initiatives, including automation. This role will work closely with leadership to analyze, design and implement workforce solutions to drive employee engagement, align to financial plan, mobilize strategic workforce plan and measure overall workforce effectiveness. The workforce transformation initiatives outcomes will be reported to leadership and stakeholders through the results management office (RMO)

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Creating and implementing a strategic workforce framework integrated with capital planning and aligned with organization's long term goals to optimize workforce in the right work, right location, right skills and right talent.

  • Designing workforce framework to be able to respond to changes in business conditions, demand, future skills and strategic direction at the resource unit level.

  • Organizing initiatives to analyze, gather and clean data to enable insights for strategic or operational key workforce decisions

  • Partnering with product and engineering teams to lead design and implementation of workforce plan tooling and analytics solutions.

  • Leveraging data and best practices to reposition critical roles through workforce planning to unlock strategic, financial and operational insights that drive optimal organizational performance and prioritization

  • Communicating workforce transformation initiatives and results via results management office to leadership and employees, emphasizing the vision and outcomes.

  • Partnering with organizational change management leaders to support workforce transformation, including communication plans, training programs, and employee engagement strategies.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in organizational change management and/or training development

  • Experience with workforce, cost and/or operating model transformations

  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, training and tools.

  • Experience with Agile delivery and operating model transformation.

  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and continuous improvement frameworks.

Even better if you have one or more of the following.

  • Expertise in enhancing workforce functionality and readiness through automation.\

  • Masters in Business Administration.

  • Able to align initiatives with organizational objectives to drive efficiency and scalability.

  • Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.

  • Exhibit good research, problem solving, and analytical skills, including excellent PowerPoint and Google Sheets / Excel capabilities, with impeccable analytical and business judgment.

  • Experience with quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills and high proficiency in Excel.

  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and present insights to leaders

  • Background or demonstrated interest in telecom, technology or media industries.

  • Proven track record of problem identification, solution development, implementation and post-implementation monitoring and support.

  • Possess good communication skills (long-form writing, Google slides/ PowerPoint and verbal)
