Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Manager to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Digital Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS.

As the Data Manager, you will provide support to plan, develop, implement, and administer information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data. Along with compiling data, perform associated data analysis and create special reports. The types of deliverables may include but is not limited to various types of reports, tracking tools, and/or a synopsis of the results of analyses or assessments.

This is a full time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Generating and evaluating equipment accountability and/or inventory logs and reports
  • Organizing, managing and maintaining status of CDRL items, including receiving and sending CDRL items, recording activity and reporting activity to Government staff
  • Overseeing, performing and reporting versions and staffing for government documents
  • Providing input, maintaining and collaborating on records management plans
  • Performing and reporting records management duties per program office's records management plans
  • Documenting and delivering file plans
  • Maintaining a variety of electronic files and websites utilizing web-based applications
  • Analyzing and recommending data requirements and specifications
  • Designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases
  • Maintaining, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems software
  • Analyzing and planning for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements
  • Developing and administering data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Developing and implementing data mining and data warehousing programs
  • Evaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architectures
  • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services
  • Performing Microsoft SharePoint administration duties, responsible for providing technical support for the SharePoint environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities-
  • Configuring SharePoint services and settings
  • Documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture
  • Managing site quotas and file size limits
  • Reviewing and monitoring usage reports
  • Managing content databases and creating new ones as required
  • Administering and maintaining sites
  • Managing site layout structure and content
  • Providing SharePoint support to end users


Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and 12 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR,

    • 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Publisher, Visio, and Project), Adobe Creative Suite, Share-Point, plotters/printers, vacuseal machine for mounting posters on foam core, and image scanners
  • Strong knowledge of print processes, Adobe Brackets, HyperText Markup Language and Cascading Style Sheets
  • Basic knowledge of Java Script
  • Basic to intermediate photography skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and 10 years experience, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR,

  • Maintaining a variety of electronic files and websites utilizing web-based applications - KayAnn covers electronic files, need more focus on web-based applications
  • Designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases - there are multiple databases in use for the new WNR SharePoint site
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems software
  • Evaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architectures
  • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services
  • Experience using Power Automate
  • Experience in all aspects of Share-Point
