Acara Solutions has a 2nd shift Process Technician in Fremont, Ca for a semiconductor industry.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
  • Support Lam process engineering team on experimentation in the lab with various Dry Etch tools.

    Experimentation may involve coupon sample preparation/mounting on carriers, loading wafers, operating the etch tools, selecting recipes based on instructions, as well as post processing (sample chemical treatment, XSEM sample cleaving) Works from customer instruction to determine target pattern feature and perform first sample cleaving using microscope / top down SEM and micro-cleavers. Creates or modifies ppt instruction for others to follow Understands Lam tools operations, able to clear basic alarms and applies troubleshooting skills to reduce tool downtime

    Some level of edits/recipe change under engineer supervision maybe needed Creates process recipes from scratch and tunes process recipes for robustness. Provide suggestions for process recipe improvement

    Performs measurement on metrology tools to collect experiment results including thin film measurement, CD measurement and SEM imaging.
    Conducts statistical process control (SPC) and etch rates including measure, execution, analysis and reporting to ensure Lam chamber performance is under control and in-spec. Alert for any trend or out-of-spec issue and come up possible causes and troubleshooting actions

    Receive and understand passdown from Lam Process Engineer

    Works with minimal supervision for execution of experiments.
    Send the pass down to next shift and to the Process Engineer, for the next step.
    Demonstrate clear communication with engineers on issues encountered and a good team player Work safely in lab and follow safety protocols, PPE (personal protective equipment) requirement set forth for the particular workspace
What you will receive:
Duration: 1 year contract
Pay rate: $41.80
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • NCGS with associates or BS degree in electronics, material science, chemistry, physics
  • 4+ years' experience in semi-conductor industry building or 4+ troubleshooting role
  • Able to work up to shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear) if needed
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities (ex., rework, overtime)
  • Willing and able to install components from a working height between 12'-71' and reach into machines to perform tasks
  • Operate computer interface and navigate diagnostic software Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) Effectively read, write, and communicate with others in English
