We are currently seeking a Project Manager specializing in Sustainable Building design & construction to join our Sustainability Consulting team. This is a remote or hybrid position based in the U.S. or Canada. Candidates located near a JLL office would work both on-site and remotely. Our team's priorities are:
Delivering strategic solutions for clients Actively collaborating across platforms Developing our people and inspiring others Supporting ambitions beyond the workplace Applying new technology and data to drive change What this job involves Supporting and managing industry changing projects As a Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for working with a team to deliver challenging sustainability projects related to new construction and existing building operations. Your continuous development of skills and adoption of new technologies is key to the impact you will have in this role. You will interact with clients and vendors to develop collaborative solutions, manage project related documentation, perform research, conduct weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items. Your knowledge of commercial real estate operations, sustainability and energy management, construction and/or architectural industry will speak to your ability to support your team in delivering interesting and industry changing projects. Your primary focus will be project delivery and driving client satisfaction through teamwork and relationship development. You are proactive and forward thinking, seeking to understand the needs perspectives and motivations of clients. You will deliver consistent, timely, high quality work meeting project requirements in a cost-effective way. You will also be able to independently manage projects of varying sizes. Job Activities (sampling) Lead project meetings, charrettes and presentations Develop and track sustainability metrics and goals Complete documentation including plans and calculations to achieve green building certifications (such as LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon, etc.) Develop technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to clients Provide written and oral comments and reports to design teams, owners, or contractors If needed, conduct project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to sustainable design specifications, owner expectations and building codes Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects Manage financials on assigned projects (project set up, invoices, AR, etc.) Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner Make independent decisions with regard to specific job duties. Before you apply it's also worth knowing what we're looking for: Education and experience 3-6 years' experience in real estate sustainability, corporate environmental management or energy efficiency LEED AP, WELL AP and/or Fitwel Ambassador experience preferred BA/BS degree in environmental science, engineering, real estate, architecture, or related field with strong record of academic achievement Experience with embodied carbon / sustainable material specification preferred Experience with the following is a plus: GRESB, CDP, GRI, TCFD, SASB, ENERGY STAR, Building HVAC Systems, International Living Futures Institute, Net Zero, Passive House, Zero Waste Possess strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Have excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects Tech minded The real estate and construction industries are consistently changing with technology. You'll need to make technology work to your advantage. You must demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of project management technology tools and continually seek opportunities to develop your skillset.
