Position Summary The Senior Administrative Manager and Special Assistant to the President is responsible for the coordination of key activities within the President's Office in collaboration with the Director of Executive Operations, the Associate Vice President, the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Chief of Staff, and other senior leaders. This role supports strategic planning, oversees logistics, and ensures onsite presence alongside the President so that all needs are addressed. The incumbent will develop plans and support the smooth handling of events, meetings, and special projects. In this capacity, they attend events on and off campus to oversee the exceptional implementation of protocols. In addition, the incumbent prepares confidential briefing documents, reports, correspondence, and other materials for the President. As a key member of the Executive Operations Team, they provide operational support within the Office and on the road as necessary, including project management and essential administrative functions. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and strategic issues and manage relationships effectively, including the capability of building trust with top executives and senior leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high profile environment. Ability to communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels. Good judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets). Position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
