Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the leads and outfitters on the production line to ensure supplies and materials are in a positive flow and all equipment is functional and adhere to safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises the Leads and Outfitters with an aim for high performance.

  • Assists with interviews and onboarding process for new hires.

  • Conducts annual performance reviews.

  • Ensures safety and compliance standards are upheld throughout the plant.

  • Monitors and prioritizes workflow of production to meet deadlines.

  • Provides direction and schedules to the outfitters in the department.

  • Maintains daily attendance tracking, reporting, and scheduling to fill in the gaps for absent outfitters on the line.

  • Performs daily safety walk/audits.

  • Ensures quality standards are withheld throughout the plant.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate and timely results.

  • Flexibility to work long hours as required to meet production deadlines.

  • Good Computer skills

  • Analytical, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Must be able to be self-directed

  • Ability to remain calm, levelheaded at all times.

  • Ability to work well with other departments and management.

  • Ability to be always professional and approachable

  • Ability to work in a team environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular computer work, walking, standing and lifting

  • Occasional sitting and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
